Chuck Collins

President / CEO

Charles G. (Chuck) Collins is the President and CEO of Chuck Collins Associates, Inc. (CC&A, Inc.), a professional aircraft sales company, which he started in 1993. He is also President / CEO of CAA, Inc. (d.b.a. Collins Aviation Associates) a company he formed in 1997, to provide diverse aviation services such as flight management, charter operations, aviation asset management, and the provisioning of aviation technical professional staff.

 

Mr. Collins graduated from San Jose State University’s School of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Prior to starting CC&A, Inc. and CAA, Inc. his diverse career included both aircraft operations and management experience. He held the position of Chief Pilot for multiple aviation companies, worked in various sales management positions for three major airframe manufacturers, and was Vice President of Sales for Jet East in Dallas. 

Military Service

Mr. Collins began his career in aviation as a United States Army Combat Pilot flying electronic surveillance missions for the National Security Agency while serving in Vietnam.

Chris Mercato

Special Projects Director

Christopher R. Mercato joined Chuck Collins & Associates Inc. (CCA Jets) in early 2023 as the Special Projects Director, bringing entrepreneurial expertise in private aviation, hospitality and overall sales experience.

Chris brings a wealth of entrepreneurial experience, having owned and managed professional parking operations such as Scottsdale Executive Airpark, Atlantic Aviation FBO at San Jose Mineta International Airport and various professional sports teams, including the NBA Phoenix Suns and the NLB Arizona Diamondbacks among other ventures, over a 20-year span.

Chris has been a key member of numerous startups. Most recently, before joining CCA Jets, he was with Set Jet, a membership based private jet charter program where he co-founded the company and directed its operations, executing over 3,000 flights as Regional Director. His hands-on operational experience, along with his expertise in membership sales and flight direction, has well-prepared Chris to serve clients in corporate jet sales, acquisitions, asset management and other aviation-related activities.
